I felt a collapse of sorts inside myself on reading this news, a sort of seismic shift...Lou's been in my musical world for well over 40 years and I can't imagine it without him...there's only a handful of truly honest, authentic purveyors of the form out there left, Neil Young's one of 'em, Patti Smith, and Lou's another, singing songs about life and truth and slammin' it home with clangin' loud guitars, bass and drums...I always trusted him.
